Lagerstroemia speciosa or ’GaKalau’ trees line the streets of Luang Prabang. In full bloom the trees are a delicate  and fluffy pink purple color. Once the petals  from the flowers fall, the seeds go through different stages. Each phase has been an inspiration for a piece of the Dok Ga Kalau collection .
